Hugo Lloris on Harry Kane’s missed penalty: It will take time, but he should be proud

The quarter-final match between England and France in Qatar 2022 turned out to be one of the most beautiful, where the French secured further qualification thanks to a 2-1 victory.

Decisive in that match was the missed penalty by Harry Kane, which if it had been realized would have tied everything at 2-2.

To that episode, the goalkeeper of France, Hugo Lloris, who is active together with Kane at Tottenham, has already returned. The French goalkeeper says that Kane will suffer that missed penalty and will need time to recover, but adds that everyone makes mistakes from the spot.

“I think Kane needs some rest, it’s a difficult time for him and England. But, I think he can be proud of what he gave to the national team in the World Cup”.

“In the history of football, there are many players who miss penalties, I remember Messi, Ronaldo and Mbappe here. I have no doubt that Kane will raise his head and shine for Tottenham and the national team,” said Lloris.
