Cristiano Ronaldo will lose over 18 million euros after leaving Man Utd

Manchester United have agreed to terminate Cristiano Ronaldo’s contract by mutual consent following his interview with journalist Piers Morgan, with the striker leaving the club with immediate effect.

Cristiano Ronaldo spoke with harsh tones and accusations about coach Erik ten Hag and the club in this interview.

Ronaldo and United agreed a two-way deal to end the forward’s contract seven months early.

This means that the 37-year-old will lose 18.5 million euros in wages. Ronaldo accused the club of trying to force him out and claimed he had made “zero progress” at United since he first left in 2009.

United released a statement saying Cristiano Ronaldo will leave Manchester United on two-way deals with immediate effect.

The club would like to thank him for his contribution in two spells at Old Trafford, scoring 145 goals in 346 appearances, and wish him and his family well for the future. Then Ronaldo also issued a statement confirming his departure by mutual consent.

He has said he loves Manchester United and the fans and that will never change.
