
The Crown Prince and Prime Minister of Saudi Arabia, Mohammed bin Salman, has given a day off on Wednesday, November 23, to all government and private sectors, as well as students.
Mohammed bin Salman did so to celebrate the Saudi national team’s stunning victory against Argentina in their opening match of the 2022 FIFA World Cup Qatar.
The Green Falcons defeated soccer superstar Lionel Messi’s Argentina, two-time world champions, 2-1 in the match played at the Lusail Stadium in Qatar. Saleh Al-Shehri and Salem Al-Dawsari scored for Saudi Arabia in the second half of the match.
Leo Messi scored the only goal for Argentina with a penalty.
