Salah’s embrace with Ramos in Dubai may have surprised Liverpool fans

Mohamed Salah and Sergio Ramos embraced at the Globe Soccer Awards ceremony that took place in Dubai, United Arab Emirates.

The Liverpool winger was crowned Player of the Year according to TikTok fans, beating off competition from the likes of Cristiano Ronaldo, Erling Haaland and Karim Benzema (the latter who won the Footballer of the Year award).

On the other hand, the defender of Paris Saint-Germain was given the award for the best defender of all time. Their hug certainly makes for an interesting moment between the two footballers, recalling the injury Ramos inflicted on Salah in the Champions League final in 2018. In that match, the Egyptian was forced off the pitch after injuring his shoulder, while Real Madrid’s won the trophy with a score of 3-1.

Liverpool fans are aware that Salah has a really friendly character, but even they will have been surprised by the warm embrace with Ramos.
