At a meeting this Monday evening, the Supervisory Board of FC Bayern München unanimously decided to extend the contract of board member for sport Hasan Salihamidzic by a further three years until the summer of 2026.
The former FC Bayern player was named sporting director in August 2017. Three years later, he was appointed to the board of management.

“Hasan Salihamidžić has done an excellent job in the five years since he has been in charge at FC Bayern. He is constantly developing the sporting side of our professionals and talents, both structurally and in terms of personnel,” said Bayern president Herbert Hainer.

“In addition to our goals on the pitch, he always keeps an eye on the financial side of things. Hasan Salihamidžić gives everything for FC Bayern 24 hours a day. He stands for the FC Bayern gene, for continuity and for titles. Our team inspires our fans with attractive and successful football. The Supervisory Board is convinced that he will continue to successfully shape FC Bayern’s sporting future together with his colleagues on the board of management in the coming years.”

Hasan Salihamidzic commented:

“I would like to thank the supervisory board for the trust it has placed in me, especially supervisory board chairman Herbert Hainer, who has supported my ideas and planning at every stage. I have always said it: I love FC Bayern, Munich is my home.

“I am very pleased that we can continue our very good and, as a result, strong cooperation until 2026. It is my goal and the goal of my fellow board members, whom I would also like to thank, to offer our members and fans a nationally and internationally competitive and successful team every season, based on economic reason. I will continue to give everything to achieve this – we are on a very good path.”
