VfB Stuttgart want to tie Silas Katompa Mvumpa down to a new contract, according to Bild.

Per the German tabloid, Stuttgart are ready to increase his yearly salary from slightly less than €1 million to over €1.5 million.

The player is said to be quite open to extending his contract, which expires in 2024, with his focus being to steer clear of injuries and rediscover his best form.

Silas racked up 11 goals and five assists in the 25 league games through the 2020/21 season – his first in the Bundesliga – before suffering a cruciate ligament rupture.

After an injury-plagued 2021/22 campaign, the 23-year-old Congolese attacker scored his first goal in one and half years in Stuttgart’s 2-2 draw with Werder Bremen last week.
