RMC and Le Parisien are reporting that Bundesliga champions Bayern Munich have made an opening offer for Rennes starlet Mathys Tel (17), who still has two years remaining on his current deal at the Ligue 1 side.
The value of the offer has not yet been revealed, but it is known that Bayern Munich are particularly attentive to the market of young French players.
The France U18 international has 5 goals in 6 for the youth side, whilst he also made 7 Ligue 1 appearances for Rennes last season, despite the attacker facing significant competition for a place in the squad. Tel also scored 5 goals in 5 appearances for the Rennes reserve side in the N3 last season.
Should he make the move to Bavaria, and should Robert Lewandowski (33) depart the Allianz this summer, Tel would find himself in competition with new signing Sadio Mané (30), Eric Choupo-Moting (33) and Joshua Zirkzee (21).
It remains unclear whether Rennes are receptive to letting the young attacker leave the club this summer.
