Gabriel Jesus arrives at Arsenal for medical tests

Gabriel Jesus hugged Edu as he arrived at Arsenal to undergo medical tests before completing a € 52 million transfer from Manchester City.

The Brazilian has agreed personal terms to join Mikel Artetas’ team, with the move to be made immediately.

The 25-year-old striker decided to leave City for a starting place in the first team at the Emirates.

He will sign a five-year contract with the Gunners, after completing the medical examinations.

Jesus was received by Edu, who is the technical director of Arsenal. He becomes Arsenal’s fourth signing this summer, after Marquinhos, Fabio Vieira and Matt Turner.

He will replace Alexandre Lacazette as the Gunners’ oldest striker.

Jesus scored 95 goals in 236 appearances for Man City after arriving at the club for 32 million euros in January 2017.
