Chelsea are set to be one of the busiest clubs in the Premier League during the summer transfer window as Thomas Tuchel looks to significantly bolster his squad and play catch up.

Sanctions placed on Roman Abramovich left the Blues unable to get a jump on negotiations and they will have to work overtime to make the signings necessary before the start of the new campaign. Antonio Rudiger has already left on a free transfer while Andreas Christensen and Romelu Lukaku are set to join the German out the door.

A number of big names have already been linked with moves to Stamford Bridge. With that in mind, football.london takes a look at the latest transfer news and rumours from west London.

Jules Kounde price

One player Chelsea have held a long-term interest in is Sevilla centre-back Jules Kounde and he is a priority for the Blues once again. Journalist Gianluca Di Marzio says that they may be able to complete a deal for less than expected too.

“It’s a particular situation. For Kounde, we have to mention that he’s been in the interest of Chelsea for a long time,” Di Marzio said in an interview with wettfreunde. “The price for Joules Kounde, even if they are close, is €80million (£68million) as it is. Sevilla should be willing to accept £65m. So whoever wants Jules Kounde will have to pay £65million.”

Richarlison demand

A report from The Sun state that the Brazilian’s aggression and tenacity are appealing to those already a part of the first team who want to see Boehly and co. complete a move for him this summer.

Eddie Howe sends Saint-Maximin warning

Newcastle manager Eddie Howe has already rubbished claims linking Allan Saint-Maximin to an exit this summer amid fresh transfer rumours to Chelsea and Spurs. The French winger is one of the most exciting attacking talents in the top-flight and Tuchel is reportedly interested in adding him to his squad. But Howe does not want to see his star leave.
