Chelsea’s summer transfer window is really expected to get started.
All the Blues’ Premier League top six rivals with the exception of Man United have made a signing at this point whilst the west Londoners had been going about their business relatively quiet so far.
However, a number of outlets state that Romelu Lukaku’s imminent Inter Milan return will cause a domino effect, which will see some of the £200million transfer budget spent by new owner Todd Boehly.
With this in mind, football.london brings you all the latest transfer rumours as the window is starting to heat up for Thomas Tuchel’s side amid the big Raheem Sterling update that was delivered over the weekend.

The club-record signing is inching ever-close to his dream Serie A return as the second day of direct negotiations between Chelsea and Inter Milan ended in a good way, according to Italian transfer guru Gianluca Di Marzio.
He has reported that no swap deal will be conducted between the two clubs in this specific transfer operation despite Tuchel’s ‘obsession’ with Denzel Dumfries.
His report for Sky Italia whilst clarifying that Lukaku’s replacement for Chelsea is Raheem Sterling, also reaffirmed the figures involved in the deal. The loan fee required from last season’s Serie A runner-ups totals around £9million, plus add-ons.
On top of this, amid reports that all is missing is the green light from owner Steven Zhang, Tutto Mercato Web have said this isn’t the case and have themselves even gone as far to say this deal is ‘complete.’
Alongside all the talk that dominated the media in the last 24 hours regarding Sterling and Lukaku, the future of Chelsea’s main defensive target has been clarified.
According to Goal, the Blues are in active negotiations to sign Sevilla defender Kounde. Their report does confirm that there is still ‘work to do’ on agreeing a transfer fee.
Nathan Ake is reportedly admired by Tuchel and this interest has stretched back from his Dortmund days – and the Blues are apparently keen to bring the Dutchman back to Stamford Bridge.
According to the Telegraph, the Blues are aware that City could be willing to let the former Chelsea star leave this summer. Ake has been in Manchester for two years after joining from Bournemouth for £41million – though Chelsea did not at the time exercise their right to match the bid.
A move for Sterling will apparently bring up the prospect of talks over Ake, though whether a deal can be agreed is another matter.
