Borussia Mönchengladbach are understood to be on the verge of signing 25-year-old centre-back Riechedly Bazoer.

According to Bild, ‘Die Fohlen’ are “very far” in the negotiations with Bazoer, who is available on a free transfer, as his contract with Vitesse Arnhem expires at the end of the month.

Per the report, VfB Stuttgart are also keen on the Dutchman, but Bayer Leverkusen have pulled out of the race for his signature.

The former Wolfsburg player has mostly been used as a centre-back for Vitesse, but is also capable of playing in midfield.
