Chelsea and Thomas Tuchel have a huge summer ahead in the transfer window. It comes after a campaign of difficulty at Stamford Bridge, where problems both on and off the field were brought to the fore.
The Blues limped their way to third, but missed out on adding both domestic cups to their trophy cabinet with two losses on penalties to Liverpool in separate finals. Off the pitch, ownership concerns swept the club for months until Todd Boehly finally completed the purchase.
Tuchel has admitted he needs to “rebuild” his squad this summer, following a difficult season and the loss of some key players: “We are rebuilding, not improving the squad. We are rebuilding. This is always challenging but we are up for the challenge.”
