Tottenham press conference live: Antonio Conte on win against Burnley, Sessegnon and Arsenal

Antonio Conte on the touchline during the Premier League match between Tottenham Hotspur and Burnley

Antonio Conte is holding his press conference after Tottenham’s 1-0 win against Burnley in the Premier League on Sunday.

Spurs needed to grab all three points to jump above Arsenal into fourth place, even if only for 24 hours, as they looked to keep the pressure on their local rivals ahead of their own trip to Newcastle for their Monday Premier League night fixture at St James Park. Conte was forced into one change with Dejan Kulusevski suffering from a stomach virus that affected three other players.

After a first half in which Tottenham struggled to find a way past Burnley goalkeeper Nick Pope they were gifted a penalty right at the end of the period when Ashley Barnes raised his arms high in the air and the ball hit one. Harry Kane made no mistake as he buried his spot kick into the bottom left corner of the net.

Spurs huffed and puffed in the second half, with Pope pulling off a number of saves to deny them and in the end they had to hold off nervously in the final stages as Burnley launched long kicks into and around their penalty area.

Tottenham defender well and held on for the victory which pushes them back up into fourth place in the Premier League table.
