RB Leipzig want to sign a defensive midfielder when the transfer window opens this summer, according to Sport Bild.
Per Sport Bild, ‘Die Roten Bullen’ have drawn up a list of transfer targets, which consists of Florian Grillitsch (Hoffenheim), Salih Özcan (FC Köln), Djibril Sow (Eintracht Frankfurt), Anton Stach (Mainz) and ‘Mo’ Camara (RB Salzburg).
Grillitsch is out of contract at the end of the season and has been linked with a move to Italy in particular.
With one year left on his deal in Köln, Özcan could leave the club this summer, with Borussia Dortmund also showing interest in acquiring the midfielder.
Stach and Sow are both under contract until 2024, while Camara’s deal runs until 2025.
Leipzig could generate money for new signings by selling Konrad Laimer, who has been toying with a departure from the club with one year left on his deal.
But ‘Die Roten Bullen’ would reportedly prefer to keep the Austrian international and are reluctant to let him leave for less than his €40 million release clause.
