According to Italian outlet Corriere di Bologna, Arsenal technical director Edu Gaspar is keen on signing Scottish left-back Aaron Hickey ‘as a replacement for the disappointing Nuno Tavares’. Last summer, Tavares joined the Gunners from Benfica and endured a rollercoaster campaign at the Emirates Stadium.
The report also claims there’s a €20million (£16million) offer ‘on the plate’ from the north Londoners, who are reportedly expected to make a move in the coming days.

Former Chelsea striker Chris Sutton has surprisingly claimed that Tottenham Hotspur winger Dejan Kulusevski is a better player than Arsenal star Bukayo Saka, who has netted 11 Premier League goals this term.
“I think Spurs front line leaves Arsenal’s for dead, he told The Monday Night Club. “There’s not one Arsenal player I could see who would get in front of Kane, Son and Kulusevski.
Former Manchester City defender Micah Richards was surprised by Sutton’s comments, bringing up Hale End academy graduate Saka in the debate. “Saka?” Richards replied.
“However, Sutton stood true to his original comments, saying: “I prefer Kulusevski.”

Former Arsenal frontman Alan Smith has claimed that Martin Odegaard has doubled his value due to his impressive performances throughout the 2021/22 campaign. “What a signing he was! £30 million”, he told Sky Sports during Arsenal’s win over Leeds United.
“They could double the money easily now for Odegaard.” The Norway captain has netted six Premier League goals and provided a further four assists this term.
