Crystal Palace manager Patrick Vieira will speak to the media this afternoon to preview his side’s Premier League visit of Watford to Selhurst Park on Saturday.
The Eagles moved closer to the top half of the table with their dramatic victory over Southampton at St Mary’s last weekend and could now position themselves with a good shot of finishing the campaign in the top ten with another win here. Three points against the Hornets would send them, and former Crystal Palace manager Roy Hodgson, down to the Championship for next season, with Watford currently needing a miracle and a huge mathematical swing to avoid the drop.
Vieira oversaw a 4-1 victory for the Eagles in the reverse fixture at Vicarage Road back in February – a result which alleviated pressure on the Frenchman’s shoulders following a poor start to the calendar year. Wilfried Zaha scored twice in that win, with Vieira labelling it as the winger’s greatest performance working under him afterwards.
