Mainz are edging closer to the signing of PSV’s Ritsu Doan.
Mainz 05 have agreed personal terms with PSV attacker Ritsu Doan, according to Bild.
The two clubs are yet to reach an agreement, but are likely to eventually agree on a transfer fee of €4-5 million, per the report.
Doan made a great impression on loan at Arminia Bielefeld last season, scoring five goals and making three assists in 35 games for the club.
According to reports, Mainz already tried to sign him last summer, but a deal did not materialize at the time.
The Japanese winger has managed to find the net 10 times and set up three goals in 37 games for PSV this season. His contract with the Dutch club expires in 2024.
