Arsenal drop major starting line-up hint ahead of West Ham Premier League fixture

Arsenal may have dropped a major hint as to who is starting in Sunday’s Premier League fixture against West Ham United at the Emirates.

The Gunners look to have arrested the three-game losing streak by winning their last two games against Chelsea and Manchester United and will be keen to make it three on the spin over the weekend. The Hammers are coming off a loss against Frankfurt on Thursday night in the UEFA Europa League and may rest some of the starters in order to save them for the second-leg on Thursday.

For Arsenal, there is no need to rest first-team players for a midweek European trip as Mikel Arteta looks to get back into Europe’s premier cup competition, the UEFA Champions League, via a top-four finish. And the Gunners boss looks to keep midfielder Mohamed Elneny in the starting 11 after the social media team tweeted a graphic on Friday morning.

Arsenal’s official Twitter account in promoting Sunday’s game used a graphic of Elneny alongside the text ‘Onto the next’. The Egyptian has made an unexpected return to the line-up with Thomas Partey out for the rest of the season but has not looked out of place against Chelsea and United.

In both games Elneny played the full 90 minutes and stood out in both, helping his side win games to not only keep their top-four hopes alive but put some distance between themselves and their rivals Tottenham Hotspurs and the Red Devils who have dropped points over the past few weeks.
