Chelsea are said to be long-term admirers of Borussia Dortmund and England midfielder Jude Bellingham.

The 18-year-old, who signed for Dortmund for just over £20million in the summer of 2020 from Birmingham City, has been a revelation since making the switch to Germany.

Bellingham has established himself as one of England’s strongest midfield players since making the brave move to play abroad, but there are a host of Premier League clubs who are said to be interested in his services.

One of those is reportedly Chelsea. So, with that being said, football.london has rounded up the key information being reported on Bellingham’s future.

Liverpool transfer stance

According to a report from the Daily Star back in September, Liverpool are very interested in signing Bellingham and could offer Borussia Dortmund £80million in return at the end of the season.

Jurgen Klopp has apparently made the England international his ‘number one target’ and if he was to move to Anfield, then he could become the club’s record signing.

Klopp believes the teenage sensation is the ‘ideal fit’ for his team and wants to push ahead in the summer of 2022.

However, it remains to be seen whether Dortmund would accept £80m for his services, with the midfielder still having three-and-a-half years remaining on his contract at Signal Iduna Park.

Man United interest

Manchester United boss Ralf Rangnick is a big admirer of Bellingham, according to a recent report from The Athletic.

The United manager, who is under contract at Old Trafford until the end of the season at the moment, has identified a ‘tall midfielder’ as a ‘top priority’ – with the former Birmingham star fitting that description.

Bellingham reportedly turned down a move to the Manchester-based club and in favour signed for Dortmund.

The report also claims that Bellingham will not be making any move from Dortmund over the January transfer window and any attempted signing would be in the summer.

Chelsea’s view on Bellingham transfer

Goal reported over the summer that Chelsea are ‘long-term admirers’ of Bellingham and are hoping that their efforts in building a relationship with Borussia Dortmund to sign Erling Haaland will help them with their pursuit of the England star.

The Blues have reportedly held an interest in Bellingham since he was an early teen and that admiration of him has not gone away all these years later.
