Dusan Vlahovic has been a hot topic of conversation over the last few months with clubs far and wide keeping one eye on the current situation surrounding his future in Italy.
The 21-year-old forward has been electric so far this season for La Viola, netting 18 times in just 21 appearances. As a result, he’s been linked with a big money move to some of the biggest clubs in Europe, including Arsenal.
However, according to Gianluca Di Marzio, the Serbian forward’s agents do not want to speak to Arsenal over a move because they don’t think a transfer to the Emirates Stadium will benefit his career, but a winter switch to their closest rivals Tottenham might.
“It depends on which project, how much money is he being given,” Di Marzio told Wettfreunde.
“Arsenal, for example, his agents do not want to speak to them. They think Arsenal is not enough for him and his career.
“They think that Tottenham or Man City or Man Utd are more [of a] fit for him.
“Tottenham with Antonio Conte as coach, is the right fit for him. He could be a replacement for [Harry] Kane or even play with him, for one year. He can improve with Kane, by training with him, during the matches.
“I think that he can learn from a top player like Kane. One year behind Kane, or he can play with him – that should be the right fit for him.”
Reports from the Daily Star have suggested that Vlahovic is in serious danger of pricing himself out of a move to England due to his high wage demands.
The Serbian reportedly wants a salary of £200,000-per-week after tax, which is a staggering amount for a player who is still just 21 years of age.
Nevertheless, the chance to fine-tune his trade from one of the world’s best in Kane, whilst working under a manager of Antonio Conte’s calibre is exciting, and could persuade him to consider a transfer.
