With the January transfer window rapidly approaching, Chelsea could look to sign a few players to help with their Premier League title push.

The Blues got back on the right track in the Premier League after they picked up the three points in the west Midlands on Boxing Day with their 3-1 triumph over Aston Villa.

Off the pitch though, Thomas Tuchel has the challenge of possibly losing four first-team defenders who are out-of-contract at the end of the season with a number of injuries running through the squad.

With that said, football.london takes a look at the latest Chelsea transfer rumours.

What?

Roberto Martinez has told Chelsea the perfect conditions that would warrant the Belgian returning to the club in the upcoming January transfer window.

Despite his recent resurgence for Los Blancos, there is still a feeling around the club that they still want to cash in on the 30-year-old.

As a result, the Blues continue to be touted as a possible destination for their club legend and international manager Martinez has given the green light to this transfer operation- if the west Londoners were to offer Hazard more game time.

“His lack of matches is a concern,” Martinez told Eleven Sports. “Of course, it’s new for him to be in a situation like this and that can be tough.”

What?

Chelsea are reportedly eyeing a £42million deal to sign Leeds star Raphinha.

The Brazilian scored at Stamford Bride in the Blues’ recent 3-2 win over Marcelo Bielsa’s side and it seems as though Tuchel is eyeing Leeds’ No.10.

According to Sport Italia’s Gianluigi Longari, who claims to have also broken the news of Raphinha’s transfer to Leeds United two years ago, Chelsea have joined the race for the left-footed winger.

The report goes on to say that the European Champions hold a “strong interest” in the Brazil international.

What?

Maybe an alternative to Raphinha could be the Real Madrid man.

According to a report by Catalan outlet, Chelsea will step up their efforts to sign Rodrygo from Real Madrid in next summer’s transfer window. The Blues are apparently readying an offer worth around €80million (£67.5million), with Los Blancos likely to open negotiations for the 20-year-old forward.

Rodrygo joined Real Madrid in a big-money deal from Santos in July 2019. While the Brazilian attacker has shown plenty of promise, he has also blown hot and cold after a strong start to life at the Spanish club. As a result, the Brazilian attacker has had to share game time with Marco Asensio, Eden Hazard and Lucas Vazquez, with Vinicius Jr. nailed on as the left-winger.

To date, the 20-year-old has made 79 appearances for Real Madrid, amassing 11 goals and 14 assists in the process. However, Rodrygo’s status as a rotation option has left him frustrated, and he could seek a summer move away from Real Madrid. Such a situation has alerted Chelsea.
