Zenit vs Chelsea LIVE: Kick-off time, confirmed team news, goal and score updates

Good afternoon and welcome to live coverage of Chelsea’s final game of the Champions League group stage, which sees them take on Russian champions Zenit.

The Blues have already secured their place in the knockout stage and know a victory this evening will guarantee top spot in Group H regardless of how Juventus fare against Malmo.

However, Thomas Tuchel does not have a full squad from which to select his starting XI. Ben Chilwell, Trevoh Chalobah, Mateo Kovacic, N’Golo Kante are all ruled out of the game due to injury and Covid-19.

The Chelsea head coach has already stated there will be rotation to his side given the intense fixture schedule. “Short message: there’s a huge chance that we rest some players,” he said at his pre-match press conference.

“And maybe, more importantly, we give some players the load who need the load, give them minutes and rhythm. The decisions will be made tomorrow, but there’s a huge chance of that [resting players].”

Tonight’s game at the Gazprom Arena will kick-off at 5:45pm UK time and will be shown live on BT Sport. However, for all of the build-up, coverage, reaction and much more, make sure you stick with us throughout the evening as we’ve got our Chelsea correspondents Adam Newson and Sam Inkersole on hand.
