Chelsea supporters have been reacting to Thomas Tuchel’s line-up to take on Manchester United this afternoon.

The Blues will be desperate to extend their lead at the top of the Premier League table as they take on an out-of-form United side being managed by caretaker boss Michael Carrick at Stamford Bridge.

Tuchel’s side have not been beaten in the Premier League since the defeat to Manchester City towards the end of September and they will be determined to keep that unbeaten run going this afternoon.

The Chelsea boss has named his starting line-up and Timo Werner makes his first appearance in over a month after recovering from injury.

Here is the XI to take on Man United: Mendy, Chalobah, Silva, Rudiger, James, Loftus-Cheek, Jorginho, Alonso, Ziyech, Werner.

Meanwhile, United line up without Cristiano Ronaldo – with Carrick making an extremely brave call in just his second match in charge.

Here is how Man Utd line up: De Gea, Wan-Bissaka, Lindelof, Bailly, Telles, Matic, Fred, McTominay, Sancho, Fernandes, Rashford.

Here is how some Chelsea supporters have been reacting to the latest team news – with Werner being the main talking point on Twitter, it seems.

Despite United being in poor form recently, Tuchel played down talk that it is a good time to be playing the 20-times champions of England.

“I don’t know if it is ever a good time to play against any team because that would mean we know something or can predict something, you can see it either way,” the Chelsea boss said earlier in the week.

“In the end, we will not lose too many minutes thinking about this and we will give all our focus and energy on our squad and what we want to do right.

“We only have one game with Michael Carrick in charge to focus on and analyse and, of course, have some unusual behaviour and group behaviour that we can see as patterns and prepare our team for it.

“On the other side, it is always the best moment to play Man Utd because we are always up for the big challenge, we want to be out there and play on the highest level and to prove ourselves, a point to others.

“We just came from a tough match and this is the next one. This is where we are, this is where we love to be and we get challenged on the highest level again on Sunday.”
