Arsenal goalkeeper Aaron Ramsdale has revealed the strange way Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang and Alexandre Lacazette entertain their teammates.

The Gunners climbed to within touching distance of the Champions League places thanks to a 1-0 win against Watford before the international break.

Emile Smith Rowe struck for the third Premier League match in a row to hand another precious three points to the Arsenal collection and move them into fifth place.

Just two points now separate them from fourth-placed Liverpool and, with Jurgen Klopp’s side waiting for them when the international break ends, hopes will be rising that they could soon find themselves in the top four.

It marks a huge transformation from the start of the season, one which saw the Gunners lose their first three matches and score zero goals.

Mikel Arteta has created a cohesive unit on the pitch and the squad are also tightly knit off it. Ramsdale has been a big part of that since his arrival in the summer.

In an appearance on Tubes and Ange Golf Life, the shot-stopper lifted the lid on what went on inside the dressing room and detailed who the biggest entertainers were to unite the squad.

“When Aubameyang and Lacazette are happy, it’s a very loud changing room,” Ramsdale said.

“Sometimes, they’ll be speaking in French, so you don’t know what they’re going on about; they could be slaughtering you. They won’t be because they’re nice people.

“Then they get [Nicolas] Pepe involved. Next thing you know, one of them’s running at the other and they’re just going ‘whack’, giving each other a dead arm, and it makes everyone laugh.”

Aubameyang and Lacazette have played together at the Emirates Stadium since the former arrived in January 2018, claiming 160 Arsenal goals between them.

It is not just the two strikers cracking jokes, however, with Ramsdale also revealing that Granit Xhaka’s humour also gets plenty of laughs.

“Granit Xhaka’s very dry with his humour,” the former Sheffield United man added.

“Obviously he’s got his Switzerland-Albanian heritage. So he’ll come out with a mafia shout or something. He’ll say: ‘Eh, the mafia will get you’ or something like that.”
