Arsenal have been proven right to stick by Mikel Arteta and not sack him, amid the dire managerial situation Manchester United currently find themselves in.
The Gunners currently sit higher than Manchester United in the league table heading into the November international break.
The Manchester club has seen a terrible run of form and fans have called for Ole Gunnar Solskjaer to be sacked, but the lack of options to replace him has prevented the owners from doing so.
And with Arsenal on top form at the moment, we can feel grateful that the club opted to trust in Arteta’s methods.
It seemed bleak for Arsenal at the start of the season, following three defeats in the opening three Premier League games.
Supporters were starting to doubt Arteta as manager of the club following the nine goals conceded, which left the club slumped to the bottom of the table.
However, there weren’t many ideal replacements if the Spaniard was to be relieved from his duties and, the club maintained their support for him.
Since then, we have gone on an amazing run of form which has allowed the team to go on a 10-game unbeaten run in all competitions.
We have not lost a game after the September international break and that has allowed the club to compete for the Champions League positions, which seemed an impossible task at the start of the season.
Antonio Conte would have been the only replacement for Arteta, which would have satisfied the Arsenal fans, but this appointment would have been highly unlikely, due to his signing on fee.
And with the Italian now managing Tottenham, Manchester United find themselves in a situation which Arsenal would have faced if they decided to part ways with Arteta.
Solskjaer is crippling his team’s season, as his tactics have been the main reason for the humiliating defeats suffered at the hands of fierce rivals Liverpool and Manchester City.
But with a lack of replacement options, the outcome of this season is looking bleak for the red side of Manchester.
It makes you feel even more grateful as an Arsenal fan that Arteta has been able to change his fortunes around and get the players onboard, otherwise the club would have been set for a disappointing league position, or an undesirable managerial appointment to replace the Spaniard.
