Zola criticises Mount

Gianfranco Zola has claimed that Mason Mount is yet to hit his best form in a Chelsea shirt this season.

The 22-year-old, who is valued at £67.5million on Transfermarkt, has scored three Premier League goals so far this season – with them all coming in the same game as the England international netted a hat-trick against Norwich City at Stamford Bridge last month.

Mount starred for the Blues last season in their Champions League-winning campaign, and Zola thinks the midfielder is yet to reach those heights again this term.

Speaking on talkSPORT, the former Chelsea forward said: “I still think there are players that will go up in performance. Mason this year has not been the same Mason as last year.”

Lukaku provides injury update

Romelu Lukaku has posted a cryptic update on Twitter regarding his injury as the Chelsea striker nears his return to action.

The 28-year-old striker, who moved to the Blues over the summer transfer window for a club-record fee of £97.5million, has been sidelined since hobbling off in Chelsea’s home clash with Malmo last month.

Lukaku took to social media to post a cryptic update, with the running, clock and injury emoji in a tweet that excited Blues supporters.

United face Pochettino decision

Manchester United boss Ole Gunnar Solskjaer remains under immense pressure at Old Trafford, and Mauricio Pochettino is one of the favourites to take over from the Norwegian.

As per the MEN, Solskjaer will be in charge of United when they take on Watford after the international break.

United take on Chelsea later this month and it could be that the Manchester-based club replace the 48-year-old before then.
