Hertha BSC have announced that Vladimir Darida is set for a spell on the sidelines after picking up an injury.

The 31-year-old central midfielder has sustained an injury to his thigh bone, the Bundesliga outfit said on Tuesday.

The injury means Darida is unlikely to feature against Berlin rivals Union in the Bundesliga on November 20.

“The former Czech Republic international is therefore ruled out of training for the coming days and is unlikely to feature in the Berlin derby,” said the statement.
