It was announced this morning that a member of the German national team squad has tested positive for coronavirus.

In addition to the person in question, four players are in quarantine as a result of the positive test.

According to Bild, Germany coach Hansi Flick has reacted by calling up Wolfsburg’s Ridle Baku and Maximilian Arnold as replacements for the quarantined players.

The player, who tested positive, is reported to be Bayern München’s Niklas Süle, with Bayern trio Joshua Kimmich, Serge Gnabry, Jamal Musiala and RB Salzburg’s Karim Adeyemi said to be the other four players in quarantine.

Having already booked their ticket to next year’s World Cup, Germany are set to face Liechtenstein (Thursday) and Armenia (Sunday) in their last two games of the year.

Lineups are posted about an hour before kickoff
