Chelsea supporters are desperate for their club to sign Declan Rice after the West Ham United midfielder put in a tremendous performance against Liverpool on Sunday.

The 22-year-old starred for the Hammers as they stunned the Reds to end their 25-game unbeaten run in all competitions, with the Irons picking up the three points in a 3-2 win at the London Stadium.

Rice is wanted by Chelsea, with football.london understanding that the Blues could push for his signature once the season concludes, and his performance against Liverpool has done nothing but raise his popularity with supporters of the west London club.

The England international finished the match with a 91% pass accuracy, 75% of his total duels won, 18 successful forward passes, 10 ball recoveries, five successful passes and one interception – showing once again why he is so highly-rated.

Chelsea supporters, when taking to Twitter after Rice helped do them a favour in this season’s Premier League title race, have urged their club to make the midfielder their priority signing in the upcoming transfer windows.

West Ham boss David Moyes, when speaking to the press about Rice towards the end of last month, believes any club keen on taking the midfielder missed out on a “bargain” by not signing him for £100million.

Moyes has warned that any club now wanted to sign the England midfielder will now have to pay way more than £100m for his signature.

He said to Sky Sports : “There was a bargain to be got with Declan at £100m. That bargain has now gone.

“We have a lot of really good players at this football club and I think while you are building and developing I think people might always come back and look at your players. But it is good that they are because that is telling us that they are doing well.”

Rice has less than three years remaining on his contract at the London Stadium, with Chelsea, Manchester United, Manchester City and Liverpool all said to be keen.
