Florian Wirtz a doubt for Germany’s upcoming games

Bayer Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane has provided an injury update on Florian Wirtz after the youngster missed today’s 1-1 Bundesliga draw with Hertha BSC.

It’s unclear if Florian Wirtz will link up with the German national team for this month’s World Cup qualifiers against Liechtenstein and Armenia.

The 18-year-old missed Leverkusen’s 1-1 draw with Hertha BSC in the Bundesliga today due to muscular problems.

And speaking after the final whistle, Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane announced that he would discuss the matter with Germany coach Hansi Flick and the German Football Association and make a joint decision, adding:

“It looks like he won’t be able to train for a few days.”

Wirtz has found the net seven times and set up seven goals in 14 appearances for Leverkusen this season.
