Crystal Palace are back in Premier League action on Saturday when they take on Wolverhampton Wanderers at Selhurst Park.

The Eagles head into the match unbeaten in their last five, having sensationally overcome Manchester City 2-0 last Saturday at the Etihad to earn their second win of the season.

They’ve also picked up draws against Brighton, Arsenal, Leicester and Newcastle in that period, and are unbeaten at Selhurst Park so far this season.

Wolves meanwhile come into the game unbeaten in five also, with wins against Southampton, Newcastle, Aston Villa and Everton under their belts in that time plus a draw away at Leeds.

Patrick Vieira will be hoping his side can use the momentum from their result at City to get past Wolves, but first will have to assess which players he has at his disposal.

Below, football.london goes through those currently on the sidelines for Palace and provides the latest updates on their recovery.

Will Hughes

Summer signing Will Hughes is yet to feature for Crystal Palace so far this season and has so far been an unused substitute in six Premier League matches.

He was left out of the squad altogether for the trip to Manchester City, though football.london understands that this is due to him sustaining a minor back injury.

It’s unclear whether the 26-year-old has trained with the first-team squad this week, though Patrick Vieira will likely provide an update on his fitness during the pre-match press conference on Friday.

Nathan Ferguson

Ferguson is still yet to make an appearance for Palace having signed over a year ago, arriving with a knee problem before tearing his achilles tendon in May.

Patrick Vieira has confirmed that the full-back has returned to light training over the last month, but is still not yet ready to join in with the first team and is unavailable for the Wolves clash.

Eberechi Eze

After suffering an achilles tendon injury during training in May, Eberechi Eze finally returned to playing action on Monday with an appearance for the Crystal Place Under-23s.

The midfielder played for an hour against Blackburn Rovers in the Premier League 2 match, which are his first minutes of competitive action since he picked up the injury five months ago.

Crystal Palace also utilised the game to hand minutes to James Tomkins and Nathaniel Clyne, neither of whom have had much game time under Vieira this season.

Eze’s official return date is still unknown, though some reports are suggesting he could make the squad for the Wolves game and have a chance of appearing off the bench.
