Although there are still a couple of months until the new transfer window opens, Arsenal are already being linked with potential moves.

As the Africa Cup of Nations takes place that month and into February, the Gunners will lose four senior players in Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang, Nicolas Pepe, Thomas Partey and Mohamed Elneny.

Thus, they may well need reinforcements, particularly in the midfield area.

With that in mind, let’s take a look at who is being touted with a transfer to the Emirates Stadium.

What?

Arsenal are preparing a loan offer with an option to buy for Serbian international, Jovic.

Mikel Arteta could be thin on the ground in January with Aubameyang away and Alexandre Lacazette’s own transfer situation still uncertain.

Real Madrid and Arsenal have had a healthy relationship in recent transfer windows following moves for Dani Ceballos and Martin Odegaard.

Who?

Raheem Sterling

Where?

El Nacional

What?

Manchester City are considering selling Raheem Sterling to Barcelona.

The 26-year-old recently admitted that he would consider leaving the Etihad Stadium if his playing time doesn’t improve in the future.

He was subsequently linked with a move to the Gunners but it appears as though City would rather he go abroad.

With Sergio Aguero now out for at least three months, the Catalan giants will be looking to strengthen their frontline, and a move for a wantaway Sterling does make a bit of sense – even with Barcelona’s financial struggles.

Who?

Sergio Ramos

Where?

Le Parisien

What?

PSG could terminate Sergio Ramos’ contract.

Ramos has struggled with injuries at the Parc des Princes, and was also struggling at Real Madrid earlier in 2021.

He has played just six competitive games this calendar year and those at PSG are now realising that they may have made a mistake.

Ramos was linked with a move to Arsenal before he signed for the Parisians and the Gunners could be tempted to go back in for him.
