Bayer Leverkusen coach Gerardo Seoane has shared his thoughts on Sunday’s top-of-the-table clash with Bayern München.

“We need courage and aggression to press high, but also the understanding to stand deep at times. It will be extremely important that we do both together with the whole team,” said Seoane at the pre-match press conference.

“I don’t want to overstate the situation in the table, even if it does make things even more exciting. These games show us where we stand and what we still need to improve. Of course, games against Bayern are always something special.

“We are looking forward to the game and to a full stadium. We know that it will be a tough game, but we have the ambition to compete with the top teams.”

Leverkusen have taken 16 points from their first seven Bundesliga games since Seoane took over as coach ahead of this summer.
