FC Köln coach Steffen Baumgart was naturally disappointed after his side fell to 5-0 defeat at the hands of Hoffenheim.

FC Köln have to learn from Friday’s 5-0 defeat to Hoffenheim in the Bundesliga, according to head coach Steffen Baumgart.

“A deserved victory for Hoffenheim in every respect,” Baumgart told reporters at the post-match press conference.

“It was a game that hurts. In the second half in particular, they showed how straightforward you can play going forward. We were never able to get going.

“We have to deal with it. There were things that were not good today. We have to learn from this. And by that I don’t just mean the lads but also the coaching team, so that we can find solutions more quickly in the coming games.”
