Lokonga reveals Henry advice
Albert Sambi Lokonga has revealed that Arsenal icon Thierry Henry offered him advice after the Belgian midfielder joined the club from Anderlecht in the summer.
Asked if he spoke to Henry before joining the Gunners, Lokonga told Arsenal’s YouTube channel: “Before I joined, no, because I was with him for only two days and then I left the camp with the national team.
“But he gave me some advice about Arsenal, the way the people are, the mentality I need to have. Some little things like that.”
Lokonga has got off to a promising start at the Emirates Stadium, featuring seven times across all competitions already this term.
Thierry Henry has admitted that he isn’t sure if Arsenal are going in the right direction under Mikel Arteta’s stewardship.
Speaking at the Prime Video Presents Sport 2021 showcase event, Henry said: “I don’t know if things are going in the right direction.
“I watched the Brighton game. Did you watch it? I’ve seen us beating Norwich before, winning at Burnley, beating Tottenham at home – because we always beat Tottenham at home.
“I was more than happy when we beat Tottenham as we were on a good run but I was waiting to see a performance, away from home, against a team that passes the ball. And, instead, we suffered.”

Arsenal fans were left bemused with Gareth Southgate after the England manager brought Bukayo Saka on at ring-wing-back during The Three Lions’ 1-1 draw against Hungary on Tuesday night.
Here is how a select few supporters reacted on Twitter.
@LegacyGooner93 : “Flicks England game on to see if Saka has come on. See’s Saka playing right back. Flicks game off again.”
@ZakHowells : “Southgate really doesn’t know what to do with the talent at his disposal. Going to a back 5 when the game is 1-1 and playing Saka at wing back is such a waste.”
AFC_Carys : “Southgate will pay for playing Saka RWB against Hungary.”
