Dusan Vlahovic made available as Fabio Paratici praised for Tottenham transfer deal

Italian transfer guru Fabrizio Romano, via the Spurs Web, has explained that Serbian striker Dusan Vlahovic will leave Fiorentina in the near future, with the only question being whether a transfer will happen in January or next summer.

However, Tottenham could face plenty of competition for his signature, with Atletico Madrid and a few Italian clubs interested in signing him.

Metz President Bernardo Serin has explained why Spurs ’ offer for Pape Matar Sarr was so appealing to the Ligue 1 club.

“The cherry on top is that we can keep him for an extra year with us,” he told Graoully Mag on Moselle TV, via teamtalk.

“I was very attached to that idea because, in the end, with the matches being played in empty stadiums last year, the fans hadn’t seen him.

“Therefore, the fact of transferring him without the fans being given a chance to see him. That hurt me, and so I insisted to have him for a year and I’m very satisfied that we have him for 2021-22 season.”

Doherty injury concern

Tottenham right-back Matt Doherty came off at half-time for the Republic of Ireland on Tuesday after picking up a knock in the first-half.

The 29-year-old joined Spurs from Wolves in 2020, but has struggled to hold down a place in the starting line-up under both Jose Mourinho and former Wolves boss Nuno Espirito Santo.

Doherty has struggled to get into the side with summer arrival Emerson Royal holding down the right-back shirt and Japhet Tanganga also playing there at times.

And now he could be set for more time on the sidelines after his latest setback.
