Thiago Silva makes Raphinha recommendation
Chelsea defender Thiago Silva has indirectly told Marina Granovskaia why she needs to sign Raphinha in the upcoming January transfer window.
Silva has been speaking about his Premier League counterpart after both were involved in the 0-0 draw against Colombia in the World Cup qualifiers on Sunday night.
Post-match, the 37-year-old gave the Leeds winger a glowing reference as many of the big clubs eye a deal for him in the mid-season January transfer window with the Blues board keen to seek out an Hakim Ziyech replacement.
Speaking to Brazilian outlet UoL, he stated: “If we had managed to win, we would be talking more about them.
“The boys showed a quality that I have hardly seen in more than ten years with the Brazilian national team [of newcomers].
“It’s really cool to see Raphinha and Antony showing personality. In terms of rapport, it’s a little lacking, but the individual is at a high level.”
Eden Hazard return talks are underway
Chelsea have opened ‘informal talks’ for the re-signing of club legend Eden Hazard amid rumours that the Belgian is not happy in the Spanish capital after a difficult few years with Los Blancos.
Hazard’s injury woes were summed up in Belgium’s Nations League semi-final defeat to eventual champions France as he sustained another hamstring injury which has put him in doubt for the upcoming El Clasico.
Regardless of whether or not the illustrious winger plays in that contest, it seems that his mind is made up on his future with reports in Spain indicating that his time in the famous white of Real Madrid could be coming to an end.
Spanish outlet El Nacional has reported that the Blues are reportedly in early informal talks with Real Madrid to re-sign Hazard, and owner Roman Abramovich is ‘increasingly convinced that the 30-year old will be one of the best in the world again if he returned to Stamford Bridge.

Jude Bellingham transfer claim
Former Chelsea defender Glen Johnson has surprisingly advised Borussia Dortmund star Jude Bellingham to snub the Blues in favour of moving to Premier League title rivals Liverpool.
Bellingham, 18, has been in Germany for over a year now and Johnson has been impressed with his form and maturity since being given the chance of breaking into the first team.
With the magnitude of the competition involved in trying to acquire the 18-year-old talent, this transfer operation could seem impossible to Marina Granovskaia and Johnson’s view on the situation doesn’t make good reading if you are a fan of the European Champions.
“I’d probably say Liverpool,” the 37-year-old said to The Sun when delivering his verdict on who Bellingham should join.
“Even though Liverpool do have superstar players, they also have a smaller squad.
“And they don’t have those superstar players sitting on their bench banging the door down, so it’s easier to keep the squad happy.
“If Jude was to make the move to Liverpool then I believe they can nurture him better than his other suitors and will give him more time as that’s what he will need.”
