Former Juventus sporting director Fabio Paratici has revealed that Jude Bellingham came close to a move to the Serie A giants in the past.

Ultimately, however, the 18-year-old opted to join Borussia Dortmund from Birmingham City in 2020.

“Jude Bellingham was one step away from joining Juventus years ago,” said the former Juventus and current Tottenham sporting director, according to Fabrizio Romano.

“He was in Turin for few days, the deal was close… then Jude decided to choose Bundesliga as next step, so he joined Borussia Dortmund.”

The young midfielder has featured 57 times for Dortmund, scoring six goals and making nine assists.
