What happened between Bukayo Saka and Jack Grealish as Arsenal star shines in England win

Bukayo Saka produced a superb performance for England as they beat Andorra 5-0 on Saturday evening in a World Cup qualifier.

The Three Lions eased past Andorra away from home, with Ben Chilwell, Saka, Tammy Abraham, James Ward-Prowse and Jack Grealish all finding themselves on the scoresheet.

The comfortable victory for England sees them move onto 19 points from a possible 21 in Group I, as Gareth Southgate looks to lead his team to the 2022 World Cup finals.

Saka was one of the standout performers for England as the Arsenal star continues his impressive form for club and country at the start of this season.

The 20-year-old attacker found the back of the net with an emphatic finish in the first half to put the Three Lions 2-0 up in Andorra.

Grealish, who was a second-half substitute for the visitors, also got on the scoresheet after a fine finish following a long throw from goalkeeper Sam Johnstone.

After the game, England’s official Twitter account posted a video of Saka and Grealish embracing, continuing their blossoming relationship from the summer’s European Championships.

Grealish said: “Big Saks on the scoresheet. You’re gonna say something about JG on the scoresheet?”

Saka replied: “JG on the scoresheet!”, with the England duo then laughing, with their arm around one another.

Some Arsenal supporters, when replying to the tweet, loved what they saw.

@AFCFrediNho said: “Jack Grealish at Arsenal would’ve made so much sense tbh.”

@missarsenal1976 said: “Love the bromance between these two.”

Jermain Defoe, who was on punditry duty for ITV for the World Cup qualifier, praised Saka for his finish in the first half.

“When you play against teams with a low block, sometimes you’ve got to go round or over, he’s [Phil Foden] dropped into the full-back positions and playing passes like Kevin De Bruyne, his range of passing has been fantastic,” Defoe said.

“The touch there for the goal [from Saka] makes it look easy, it’s a difficult touch, it’s a great finish.”
