Reece James, Mason Mount and Christian Pulisic injury Update.

The week was rocky for top 4 teams, Chelsea suffered their first defeat of the season, Man United lost to Aston Villa, Liverpool drew to Brentford. Chelsea’s match with City was the 1st time Tuchel’s team had no shot on target.

It was a frustrating 90 minutes for Chelsea, Reece James picked up an injury, Werner and lukaku had no chemistry, we saw the whole Chelsea squad struggle.

Here’s an update on Chelsea players injury.

Reece James

Tuchel shared some details after the match stating:

“I don’t know about Reece at the moment,” Tuchel said in his post-match press conference on Saturday afternoon.

“He twisted his ankle, and it was very painful for him. I have no other news on him at this stage but let’s see how he is in the next few days.”

Christian Pulisic

The winger picked up an injury during the last international break and hasn’t been fit since then. He has always had an edge for city Man City, and I’m sad he wasn’t available for the match.

The No.10 has had an unlucky start of the season, he recently recovered from Covid-19 now he’s injured.

When Tuchel was asked during his post-match conference when Pulisic will return, he couldn’t give a definite date.

Mason Mount

Mason Mount was also not on the pitch on Saturday due to an injury.

The midfielder got injured in last week’s Carabao Cup game against Aston Villa, which saw the blues get the victory penalties. Tuchel shared during his post-match press:

“He has a minor injury from the Aston Villa game and while he made a big step, huge progress, it’s not enough to be ready for 12.30 tomorrow. Everyone else is in training and we’ll see tomorrow.”

We will share more injury updates before Wednesday.
